Travel documents checklist
  • Step 1: Documents Required for Online Visa Form Filling & Appointment Scheduling
  • Personal Details:
  • Completed (PIF) personal information form (attached). (for every traveller required)
  • Copy of Aadhar and PAN card.
  • Passport & Travel History:
  • Original passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay) + all old passports (last 10 years travel history).
  • Passport must have at least 3 blank pages (1 back-to-back required).
  • Financial Documents:
  • 6 months personal savings bank e-statement (for form filling).
  • Latest income tax return (ITR) with computation of income.
  • Fixed Deposits (FD) & Mutual Funds statements (if applicable).
  • Employment Details:
  • If employed: Latest 6 months’ salary slips.
  • If self-employed: Business proof (Company Registration, MOA/AOA, Shop Establishment, Partnership Deed, etc.).
  • Invitation (if applicable):
  • Invitation letter from the UK invitee. (Format attached for your reference)
  • Copy of invitee’s passport.
  • If Attend convocation – Need convocation letter from university
  • For Transit Vis (additional documents)

  • Step 2: Documents Required for Visa Appointment Submission
  • The following documents must be carried to the VFS visa centre during the appointment submission:
  • 1. Mandatory Documents:
  • Original Passport (Valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay + all old passports).
  • Signed online visa form.
  • Covering letter (with applicant details: name, passport number, purpose, duration, expenses).
  • 3 years ITR with computation of income (Original).
  • 6 months personal bank statement (Original) with minimum balance of ₹4-5 lakhs per person.
  • Other financial documents (Property documents, FDs, Mutual Funds, etc.).
  • 2. Category-Specific Documents:
  • If Employed:
  • Leave approval letter from company with official seal.
  • 6 months salary slips with company seal.
  • Last Three Years Income tax return/Form 16.
  • If Self-Employed:
  • Cover letter on company letterhead.
  • Business proof (MOA/AOA/Shop Establishment/Partnership Deed, etc.).
  • 6 months company bank statement & 3 years ITR.
  • If Student:
  • School/College ID card copy.
  • Leave letter from school/college.
  • Birth certificate.
  • If Visiting Relatives/Friends in the UK:
  • Invitation letter from host.
  • Copy of invitee’s passport & utility bill (address proof).
  • Relationship proof (birth certificate, etc.).
  • If Sponsored by Someone Else:
  • 6 months bank statement of sponsor with required balance.
  • 3 years ITR of sponsor.
  • Sponsorship letter & passport copy of sponsor.
  • For Minors Traveling Without Both Parents:
  • Notarized No Objection Certificate (NOC) from non-traveling parent(s).: Copy of parent’s passport.
  • All documents must be printed on A4 size paper (no back-to-back printing).
