Travel documents checklist
  • Original Current Passport
  • Must not be older than 10 years
  • Must be valid for at least 6 months from date of travel
  • Should have at least two blank pages for visa stamping
  • Submit all old passports as well
  • Visa Application Form
  • Duly filled in block letters using a black pen
  • Signature must match the passport
  • In case of minor applicants, both parents must sign the form
  • Photographs (2 copies)
  • Size: 35mm x 45mm, white background, matte finish
  • 80% face coverage, no smiling and no visible teeth
  • Photos must be recent (within last 1 month)

  • If self-employed, use company letterhead
  • If employed, use plain paper (sample attached)

  • Hotel booking must mention the name of each applicant

  • Business proof: GST/MOA/AOA/Shop Establishment/Partnership Deed/Certificate of Incorporation (Notarized)
  • If Employed:
  • Leave letter from employer (sample attached it should be on company letterhead with authorized person name, designation, contact no and company stamp on it)
  • Last 3 months’ salary slips with company stamp and authorized signature
  • If Student:
  • School/College ID copy
  • Birth certificate (notarized copy)
  • If Married Couple Travelling Together, and spouse’s name is not mentioned in the passport:
  • Submit original and copy of marriage certificate with notarized
  • Letter of Invitation from South African Host (if staying with family/friends): Must clearly state: Name and passport number of the applicant Purpose and duration of visit (mention two-way travel dates, should be within 90 days) Full physical address and contact details of the host Name, designation, and signature of the host/authorized person The letter must be attested by the Commissioner of Oaths or South African Police with a valid date (validity: 90 days)
  • Residence Proof of Host in South Africa: Copy of Permanent Residence Permit or Work Permit Must be attested by the Commissioner of Oaths or South African Police Valid for 90 days from the date of attestation
