Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua
Travel south to arrive at Waitomo for a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Continue over the Mamaku Ranges to reach the ‘Thermal City’ of Rotorua. Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua: 335 km (approx 4 hrs,30mins). Overnight at a hotel in Rotorua.
Day 3
Rotorua
See Te Puia's mud pools and geysers, Agrodome farm show with sheep dog and cow demos, Rainbow Springs' trout, birds and wildlife. Evening authentic Maori Hangi feast and concert. Overnight Rotorua hotel.
Day 4
Rotorua - Napier
Travel from Rotorua to Taupo, with its huge Lake Taupo. Continue over mountains and farmland to arrive at the East Coast's art deco Napier city for overnight hotel stay.
Day 5
Napier
Morning free in Napier. Optional art deco walking tour or vintage car city tour. Afternoon wine tour with tastings at three local wineries. Overnight stay at Napier hotel.
Day 6
Napier - Wellington
Travel via Manawatu Gorge to Palmerston North, then down Kapiti Coast to arrive in capital city Wellington for overnight hotel stay.

Departure Day
